Hartford Polish Saturday School belongs to the Polish Supplementary School Council of America and teaches based on the “Curriculum for Polish Schools in the USA” developed by the Educational Commission of the Polish American Congress.
We want our students not only to enrich their vocabulary by reading excerpts from the works of Polish classics, but also to get acquainted with the fairy tales and legends of Polish culture, so that they value their heritage and be proud of their roots.
We start learning the language in kindergarten (5-year-olds) and continue in grades one to eight.
The program also includes learning the history and geography of Poland.
Our young people actively participate in Polish community celebrations such as the anniversary of the May 3rd Constitution or the Pulaski Parade in Hartford. We also organize attractions for students, such as St. Nicholas’ Day, Valentine’s Pizza Party, or painting traditional Easter eggs.
