Hartford Polish Saturday School is the oldest Polish language school in Connecticut.
Our Saturday school is a place where children and youth of Polish origin can learn about the history, culture and language of their country. Thanks to our classes, students have a chance to learn the Polish language, get to know Polish literature, history and traditions.
I would really like to recommend Hartford Polish Saturday School. Nice atmosphere, fantastic teachers and the feeling of safety for our kids. Our son wakes up ready for lessons and more and more understands and speaks Polish. The school offers various contests and trips, as well as meetings and workshops. We are very proud of our decision to sign him up because it is really worth it!
I visited the school when visiting my sister. Her children attend it. The school is great! It is a shame that in Poland I haven’t met such a wonderful faculty members as here in the US. All the best to you and I hope I will visit you again!
We start learning the language in kindergarten (5-year-olds) and continue in grades one to eight.
We also offer Polish as a Second Language for children who need instruction in English.
The program also includes learning the history and geography of Poland.
Classes are held on Saturdays from September through May from 10:15 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the building at 35 Groton Street in Hartford, CT
Hartford Polish Saturday School is the oldest Polish language school in Connecticut and has played a key role in raising awareness of Polish culture in the Hartford area for over 85 years.
Our youth actively participate in Polish community celebrations, such as the anniversary of the May 3rd Constitution or the Pulaski Parade in Hartford.
We also organize various attractions for students, e.g. St. Nicholas’ Day, Valentine’s Pizza Party, or painting traditional Easter eggs.
